Healthy Active Arkansas will host an Ambassador training on Saturday, Sept. 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Arkansas Department of Health, located at 4815 W. Markham St. in Little Rock. This training will provide hands-on guidance on the Healthy Active Arkansas framework, and how to use that framework to set goals and create action plans, while you develop leadership skills that can help you make a positive impact on the health of your community.

Ambassador training is open to all high school juniors, seniors, college or graduate students, SGA officers, pageant contestants, FFA, FCCLA & FBLA members, and other community and civic youth leaders. Healthy Active Arkansas is a 10-year framework to increase the number of Arkansans who are at a healthy weight. There are nine priority areas that include evidence-based strategies that positively impact the health of the state.
