We encourage Arkansans age 13 and older to sign up for the annual Blue & You Fitness Challenge, set for March 1-May 31.

Registration is currently underway for the challenge, now in its 15th year. Groups will compete with other similarly sized groups across the state to earn points by completing a variety of exercises and logging them online over the three months of the challenge.

The Blue and You Fitness Challenge is changing this year to put more emphasis on making physical activity a habit. Instead of simply earning points for completing exercises, you also will need to log at least 30 days of activity to complete the challenge.

To enter, groups must register no later than Feb. 14, while individual participants must sign up no later than Feb. 28, using the code issued to the group administrator.Governor Hutchinson riding a bike

“Obesity and the health problems that arise from obesity have been serious health issues in Arkansas for decades, affecting both children and adults. Regular physical activity is vital to ensuring that Arkansas has a healthy, productive workforce and a high quality of life for its citizens.

I encourage my fellow Arkansans to participate in the annual Blue and You Fitness Challenge, a fun competition promoting healthy fitness routines that, hopefully, will become life-long habits.” – Gov. Asa Hutchinson
