Why: Gov. Asa Hutchinson has proclaimed March 28 as Breastfeeding Awareness Day in Arkansas. Rep. Mary Bentley and Healthy Active Arkansas (HAA) partners will gather for a program on the importance of breastfeeding, breastfeeding disparities, and the laws and resources in place to help support breastfeeding in Arkansas.
Speakers include: Dr. Joe Thompson, HAA Board Secretary and President and CEO of the Arkansas Center for Health Improvement; Rep. Mary Bentley; and ShaRhonda Love, Healthy Active Arkansas Board member, and Director of the Arkansas Minority Health Commission.
