Mental Health Tips for Working Remotely

To everyone adjusting to the new normal of working from home, it is just as important to take care of your mental health as your physical health, for yourself and for your team. Check out the tips below!


  • ACCEPT stress levels will be high
  • Set BOUNDARIES between work life and home life – create a physical workspace and check in and out of your workday
  • Be KIND and PATIENT with those around you
  • Maintain ROUTINES as much as possible
  • Schedule BREAKS for physical activity as well as time to connect with others
  • Keep open COMMUNICATION about your work and family needs
  • Do daily RELAXATION exercises such as breathing, mindfulness, yoga or meditation
  • Try something NEW – many classes are FREE during this time; take an art class, learn how to salsa, how to garden or how to cook


  • CHECK IN with team members to make sure they have what they need to work from home or if they need anything
  • CONNECT with your team members outside of just work, take a few minutes to chat as you would in the office
  • ENCOURAGE video calls as much as necessary to curb loneliness
