When routines are disrupted, schools are out, and families are displaced, it is difficult to make physical activity a priority. However, in times like these, it is even more important that we think about our health, both physically and mentally. But, how do you stay active while social distancing? Challenge yourself, your children, or other family members to do some type of physical activity for at least 30 minutes a day. And remember, kids should be getting a minimum of 60 minutes of physical activity each day. If you find that engaging in physical activity for 30 consecutive minutes a bit hard, do 10 minute intervals several times a day. Also, you do not have to do the same activity everyday.
